What exactly do I get?
Purchasing StarterJuice gives you access to the StarterJuice interface and as many application templates as you have paid for.
You can use your templates to create your own Ruby on Rails applications, which you can then customize and deploy to your own server. The template comes with user authentication, payments, and smart scaffolds built-in.
How do I get started?
After purchasing, you'll get access to the StarterJuice interface. From there, you can create your first application and will be able to create a new Ruby on Rails application using your custom StarterJuice application as your starting point.
Simply run the command you'll be given in your terminal, and you'll have a new Ruby on Rails application, with all the StarterJuice features, ready to go.
Couldn't I build this myself?
You sure could! And anyone who purchases StarterJuice should probably already have the skills to do so.
However, starting new projects from scratch each time takes a whole load of time you likely don't have. StarterJuice isn't for wantrepreneur coders who tinker without results - it's designed to get you from zero to customers in as little time as possible.
The time it saves you from building from nothing is worth orders of magnitude more than the cost.
Can I get a discount?
No. We provide a fair product at a fair price.
We're not the only option out there, and we're not trying to be - there are cheaper (and much more expensive) options out there. We're confident that StarterJuice is the best option for most people, and we're confident that the price is fair.
What will I need to provide?
You'll need to provide your own server to host your application on. We recommend deploying to DigitalOcean via Hatchbox, but you can use any server you like.
In addition, you'll also need to provide your own LemonSqueezy API key, transactional email provider API key, and your own OpenAI API key if you want to use the AI wrapper.
Remember, most services will have free tiers as well as paid, so make sure you're not paying for anything you don't need.
StarterJuice uses either sqlite or Postgres as a database - we'd recommend sticking with sqlite for your MVP unless you know what you're doing.
How does the annual subscription work?
The annual subscription gives you access to 12 application templates per year. You can use these to create 12 applications, and you can use them all at once or spread them out over the year.
If you don't use all 12 templates in a year, they don't roll over to the next year - you'll just get 12 more templates at the start of the next year.
